Welcome to CoralRealm University Online, an extension of CoralRealm.com. Our mission is to help our members gain a better understanding of the marine life found on coral reefs. We believe that education is the foundation for developing a person's appreciation for the world's intricate marine environment. Understanding can lead to appreciation which in turn can drive conservation efforts intended to preserve our delicate ecosystem -- for generations to come.

Established in August 2001, CRU Online is in its infancy. The interactive, educational resources we're introducing at this time, are impressive but only a fraction of the eLearning opporutnities we have planned for the future. Our goal is to make learning fun and challenging. CRU Online utilizes a variety of interactive presentation formats including slide presentations, video clips, and feature articles written by subject matter experts. We also incorporate interactive tests to evaluate student comprehension.

CRU provides a goal and a reward for student achievement. A point system allows students to earn a variety of degrees starting with the most basic and moving up to more advanced degrees. The process is really quite simple. Students select CRU Online courses of study, take reading/learning comprehension quizzes, submit answers for automated grading, and earn one point for every question answered correctly. Once students earned enough points, they receive a prestigious CRU Online degree.
